Ida C. Ross

Ida C. Ross, 85, of 41 Pinecrest Dr., Bedford, OH, formerly of New Castle, died Thursday morning, November 2, 2006 at her home in Bedford, Ohio. She was born March 23, 1921 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the daughter of Vito and Josephine (Giordano) Pizzitola. Her parents precede her in death. She was married to Gregory L. Ross who died on August 30, 1997. Mrs. Ross retired after 13 years as an assembly line worker for the Container Corporation of America, in Solon, OH. She also worked as a waitress in the Little Italy Section of Cleveland. Mrs. Ross was a member of St. Vitus Church and served as an Inspector for the Naval Civil Service during World War II.

She is survived by 1 son, Angelo Ross and his wife Jill, of South Euclid, OH, 2 daughters, Toni Ross of Los Angles, CA, and Mrs. Thomas (Louann) Nagy of Bedford, OH, 1 brother, Phillip Pizzitola of Austintown, OH, 2 sisters, Lucy DeCaprio of New Castle, PA and Louise Yerage of Ogden, UT, and 1 grandson, Michael Ross of Cleveland, OH.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Pizzitola.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Sunday, November 5, 2006 from 1 pm to 5 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
