Gary W. Reese, Sr.

Gary W. Reese, Sr., 67, of King Avenue, Union Twp., died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House in Poland, OH. He was born May 17, 1943 in New Castle, a son of the late Billy Reese, Sr. and Marian (Allen) Reese, his mother survives in Pulaski, PA. He was married to Pauline Ruth (Gilbert) Reese who died August 19, 2010. Mr. Reese was a machinist working for Haywood Industries in Sharon, PA and JAS Machine in Warren, OH for many years. He was a member and two time past Master of Mason Lodge F&AM 624. He was also a member of the Syria Shiners of Pittsburgh. Mr. Reese was a Navy veteran serving stateside and enjoyed archery, hunting and playing golf. He also enjoyed flying having a pilot's license for many years. Mr. Reese also enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Boneheads Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by one son, Gary W. Reese, Jr. of New Castle, one brother, Billy Reese, Jr. of Brookfield, OH, three sisters, Connie Wetzel of Fairview, PA, Gwendolyn Isaac of Pulaski, and Nancy Eckert of New Castle, three grandchildren, Amanda W. Reese, Daniel Ryan O'Neal, and Sarah E. Richard.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Denise Ann O'Neal, and one grandson, William O’Neal.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Kifer of Pulaski United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the funeral home.
