Ronald E. Peak, 71, of Princeton, died Monday, October 11, 2010 at his home. He was born June 18, 1939 in New Castle, a son of the late Charles and Alice (McFarland) Peak. He married Nancy Ann (Straight) Peak on April 18, 1978, she survives in Princeton. Mr. Peak worked for Local Labor Union 964 for over 20 years. He worked in pipeline and asbestos removal. He was an Army veteran and served in Germany and Stateside. Mr. Peak was also a member of VFW Post 315 and the Federal Order of the Eagle. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by five daughters, Kim Gallaher and her husband Butch, Dawn McCrumb and her husband Ronald, Candi McCormick and her husband Mark, and Raemee Peak, all of New Castle, and Nancy Sankey of Sharon, seven sons, Duncan Peak and his wife Karen, Patrick and Ronald Peak, both of New Castle, William Peak of Butler, Charles and wife Mary, and Carl Peak of Princeton, and David Crowley of New Castle, thirty-seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, William, and Everett Peak, and three sisters, Marian Barnes, Bessie Harlan, and Gladys Pounds.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Marsha Parish of Oak Grove Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Harlansburg. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the cemetery.
