Patsy A. Nerti

Patsy A. Nerti, 86, of 13th Street, West Pittsburg, died Friday, November 05, 2010 at his residence in West Pittsburg. He was born February 12, 1924 in West Pittsburg, a son of the late Anthony and Catherine (Cappatt) Nerti. He married Anna Jean (Butchelle) Nerti February 27, 1954, she survives in West Pittsburg. Mr. Nerti worked at Shaw Perkins in West Pittsburg for over 20 years, he then worked for Airway Luggage. He was a member of the CC’s, the Diaz Club, and was a charter member of the West Pittsburg Optimist Club. Mr. Nerti loved sports and was an avid Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins fan. He also lovedNew Castle Football. He will be sadly missed and remembered as a great and loving father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by, one son, Patsy C. Nerti of West Pittsburg, two daughters, Roseann Huddy and her husband Wayne of Wampum, and Marlaina Nerti of West Pittsburg, two brothers, Victor Nerti of New Castle and Phil Nerti of Wampum, four sisters, Betty Miller, Josephine Winters, and Shirley Bessell, all of West Pittsburg, six grandchildren, Sgt. Jason Nerti and his wife Jaclyn, Pasquale A. Nerti and his wife Erica, Renee, Dave, and Matt Huddy, and Vincent Nerti, and three great grandchildren, Calina, Giovanni, and Jade Nerti.

He was preceded in death by, three sons, Baby Anthony Nerti and twin baby boys, two brothers, Joe and John Nerti, and four sisters, Rosie and Mary Nerti, Tresia Mozzocio, and Jennie Stelter.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 8, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Father Steve Palsa of St. Vincent de Paul Parish will celebrate. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
