Susan A. Riley

Susan A. Riley, 89, of Alveretta Boulevard, Shenango Twp., died Monday, November 15, 2010 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born January 18, 1921 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Isaac) James. She was married to Russell E. Riley who died on July 23, 1981. Mrs. Riley was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, and word search puzzles. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan A. Llewellyn and her companion Charles Kordish of New Castle, one son, Russell J. Riley and his wife Terri of New Castle, five grandchildren, Amanda Riley-Locke and husband Kenneth Locke Jr., Megan Riley and her fiancé Matthew West, Patrick Llewellyn and his wife Stephanie Montgomery Llewellyn, Danielle Llewellyn, and Joshua Riley, and two great grandchildren, Taylor Wacikowksi and Aaliyah Riley.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Charles, and Edward James.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Frederick Gilbert of Independent Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
