Richard H. Smith, 66, of Woodridge Dr., Youngstown, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Omni Manor in Youngstown. He was born January 8, 1944 in Youngstown, a son of the late Bernard and Adel (Altman) Smith. He married Ellen (Plecha) Smith in 1981, she survives in Youngstown. Mr. Smith was a self employed contractor in the Youngstown area for many years. He was an avid skier and enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with friends. He also loved to fly and was a pilot for many years.
He is survived by one son, David A. Smith and his wife Dina (Casalandra) Smith of New Castle, PA, one step-daughter, Tiffany Bungard of Youngstown, OH, one brother, Miles Smith of Indianapolis, IN, and three grandchildren, Sophia, Luca, and Taylor.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at Redefsholom Cemetery in Youngstown, OH. Rabbi Franklin Muller will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, New Castle.
