Leo L. Betts

Leo L. Betts, 72, of Summit Street, died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Ellwood City Hospital. He was born December 26, 1937 in Erie, a son of the late Ernest and Ella (Hunt) Betts. He has been married to ValJean (Kaufman) Betts for 52 years, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Betts worked at Waldman's Meats for many years and then he worked in delivery for the Pittsburgh Tribune paper. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War era.
He is survived by one son, Leonard Betts of New Castle, two brothers, Samuel & Chester Betts, both of Pueblo, CO, three sisters, Violet Geanous of Erie, and Cynthia Betts and Nellie Betts, and two grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Homer Betts.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 8:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating.
