Raymond U. McKay, 97, formerly of Edinburg, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. He was born August 31, 1913 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Irvine and Maggie (Martin) McKay. He was married to Olive I. (Wigton) McKay who died on June 4, 2003. Mr. McKay was a sales manager for Dean Dairy Company retiring after 45 years. He was an avid golfer and bowler and a member of various local golf and bowling leagues.
He is survived by one daughter, Carole McKay of Edinburg, two sons, Raymond A. McKay and his wife Leola, and James I. McKay and his wife Linda, both of New Castle, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Abe, William, and Ethern McKay, and three sisters, Idella Stull, Emma Martin, and Margaret Martin.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Chris Weichman of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
