James M. McCullough, 76, of Old Rout 422, Slippery Rock Twp., died Friday, December 3, 2010 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Wexford, PA.
He was born March 10, 1934 in New Castle, a son of the late Franklin 'Sank' and Cecelia (Coyne) McCullough. He married Dorothy A. (Aluisia) McCullough on October 5, 1957, she survives in New Castle. Mr. McCullough was a welder for 25 years at Simon Highrise in Ellwood City. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War Era serving near the Panama Canal. Mr. McCullough was a member of St. Josph Church, a member of the choir of the church, and help decorate the church for the hoidays for many years. He enjoyed woodcarving and had a one man Metal Sculpture show at the Hoyt Center in 1976.

He is survived by three daughters, Jodi Cepro and her husband Randy of New Castle, Crystal McCullough, and Toni DeLorenzo, both of Ft. Myers, FL, one brother, Edward McCullough and his wife Mabel of Virginia Beach, VA, one sister, Mary Grimes of New Castle, five grandchildren, Marissa Blakley, Kiley Cepro, Randi Jo Gettings, Nathaniel DeLorenzo, and Perry DeLorenzo, and six great grandchildren, Matt Cepro, Kaelyn, Halaena, and Grayson Blakley, Emaleigh Lippman, and Andrew Gettings.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin and Jackson McCullough.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Father Steve Palsa of St. Joseph the Worker Church will officiate. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the cemetery.
