Lucille D. Turco, 87, of New Castle, died Friday evening, December 1, 2006 at Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio. She was born October 25, 1919 in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania a daughter of Joseph and Mary Susan (Innocenti) Frisk. Her parents precede her in death. She was married to Leonard Turco who died on April 5, 1997. Mrs. Turco was a member of St. Vitus Church and many social clubs including TOPS and she was an avid reader. She was a seamstress at Carvella's Bridal Shop in New Castle for many years. Mrs. Turco specialized in bridal formal wear and was renowned for her designs in bridal accessories.

She is survived by one daughter, Melanie Turco Gura and her husband David of Hudson, OH, one son, Leonard J. Turco and his wife Susan of Hermitage, PA, one grandson, David Turco Gura of Columbus, OH and two sisters, Esther Santilo and Helen Fiori both of Ellwood City, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Veronica Marie Turco, two brothers Charles Frisk and Fred Frisk, and four sisters, Rose Carabetta, Isabelle Frisk, Mary Gangliero, and Anne Frisk.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., New Castle on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Joseph Dascenzo of BVM will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
