Trudy Bennett

Trudy Bennett, 79, of Bryan Street, North Beaver Twp., died Monday, December 6, 2010 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born October 11, 1931 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Stanley and Ann (Zielinski) Arent. She was married to William Bennett who died in 2007. Mrs. Bennett was a secretary for numerous area corporations for many years. She attended Youngstown State University for business and secretarial classes. Mrs. Bennett was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda A. Taylor and her husband Pete of Ellwood City, Vicki M. Wiggins and her husband Bill of New Castle, and Ann E. Walter and her husband Curtis of New Castle, one brother, Carl Arent of Meadville, PA, one sister-in-law, Angie Edel of Hillsville, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Stanley J. Arent.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.

Blessing services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father James Downs of Christ the King Parish will be officiating. Burial will be in Madonna Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to: Golden Hill Championship Golf for the Cure, 520 E.
