Jean D. Malizia

Jean D. Malizia, 82, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, formerly of Croton Ave., New Castle, died Monday morning, January 15, 2007 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born June 1, 1924 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of Celestino and Carmella (DiSandro) Malizia. Her parents precede her in death. Miss Malizia worked as a liner at Shenango China retiring after 43 years. She was a member of St. Vitus Church, the Ladies of the Dukes and the Sons of Italy.
She is survived by two nieces, Mary Ann Saines of New Castle, PA and Camilla Daugherty of Phoenix, AZ, one nephew, Louis Malizia of Albuquerque, NM and three great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Albert Malizia, and two sisters, Christina and Lena Malizia.
A private blessing service will be held at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery. Arrangements by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
