Lucy Ann Houston

Lucy Ann Houston, 71, of 415 W. Cherry St., New Castle, died Tuesday morning, January 16, 2007 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born February 26, 1935 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of Pasquale and Angeline (DeMasi) DiThomas. Her parents precede her in death. Mrs. Houston was a secretary at Lark Enterprises in New Castle for 34 years. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish and enjoyed eating out. Mrs. Houston loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends and was a devoted Frank Sinatra fan.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ricky (Diane M.) DeCarbo of New Castle, PA, one son, David T. Houston and his wife Cassandra of New Castle, PA, two sisters, Albina N. Piccirillo of New Castle, PA and Philomena Shaffer of Columbus, OH, three grandchildren and one great grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph R. Houston, Sr., her son Ralph R. Houston, Jr., her brother Bartholomew DiThomas, and her sister Rose Ann DiThomas.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday, January 18, 2007 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 19, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Lucy Church. Father Kenneth Keene of St. Vincent de Paul Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
