Stella M. Devivo

Stella M. DeVivo, 84, of 1017 N. Ashland Ave., New Castle, died Saturday morning, January 27, 2007 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born December 5, 1922 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of John and Anna (Keilar) Suchy, her parents precede her in death. She married Alphonso T. DeVivo on December 15, 1942, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. DeVivo was a homemaker and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards and bingo, bowling and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by, two sons, Alphonso E. DeVivo and Bernard DeVivo both of New Castle, PA, one daughter, Elizabeth ‘Betty Ann’ DeVivo of New Castle, PA, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her son Thomas DeVivo, her daughter Bernadine Fulkerson, two brothers, Henry Suchy and Bernard Suchy, and her sister Eleanore Suchy.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Lucy Church. Father Kenneth Keene of St. Vincent de Paul Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
