Eugene L. Rodgers, Sr., 66, of 210 N. Cedar St., New Castle, died Saturday evening, March 10, 2007 at his home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born October 20, 1940 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a son of William W. ‘Buck’ and Blanche (Ketler) Rodgers, his parents precede him in death. Mr. Rodgers was self-employed doing light construction and siding. He enjoyed Pure Stock Car Racing as a driver and fan.
He is survived by four daughters, Trudy Schroeder of Slippery Rock, PA, Joy Rodgers of Pulaski, PA, Marybeth Rodgers of Wampum, PA, and Lysa Neely of New Castle, PA, two sons, Eugene L. Rodgers, Jr. of Dayton, OH and William W. Rodgers of New Castle, PA, one step-daughter, Kathy Ruskin of Los Angles, CA, two brothers, Will Martin Rodgers of New Castle, PA and Albert Rodgers of Bessemer, PA, one sister, Linda Caruso of New Wilmington, PA, eight grandchildren, one great grandson and his 1st wife, Linda Lee (Lawson) McFarland of New Castle, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2nd wife, Ruth Rodgers, two brothers, Kent Monroe Rodgers and Wilbur Rodgers, and his sister Delores Marciante.
