Abram 'Chuck' C. Smith

Abram C. ‘Chuck’ Smith, 76, of Rose Hill Drive, died Sunday, November 17, 2024, at his residence in Neshannock Township. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 2, 1948, the son of the late Abram M. and Stella M. (Moore) Smith. Mr. Smith married Ann Marie (Rully) Smith, on October 18, 1980; she survives at home. Mr. Smith was the Lieutenant in charge of the Detectives Bureau for the New Castle Police Department, retiring after 25 years. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam and Germany. He enjoyed golf and going to the casino, he was an avid Steelers and Pitt Football fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Andrew C. Smith and his wife Aja of Oakdale, PA, and Dr. Alexis Smith Alswaeer of Poland, OH, five grandchildren, Rain Jackson, Mahari Lane, Destiny Lane, Andre Smith, and Noah Alswaeer, two sisters, Betty Blumer of Pittsburgh and Linda Santaguido of Pittsburgh, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 3 PM to 6 PM, at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jeff Conn will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
