Amanda E. Griffin

Amanda E. Grieve Griffin, 40, of Bleakley Avenue, New Castle, died Sunday, February 11, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born in New Castle on December 2, 1983, a daughter of Albert Grieve, III and the late Georgia (DePietro) Grieve, her father survives in New Castle. She was married to Justin L. Griffin on March 4, 2017, he survives in New Castle. Amanda was a School Resource Officer at New Castle High School for 5 years and she also worked as a caregiver for Help at Home for 6 years. She enjoyed going to the shooting range, listening to music, and cooking. Amanda loved giving back to the community and to the kids and loved spending time with her children, she was the neighborhood mom. She will also be remembered as being a true friend to everyone she met and lighting up every room she entered.

In addition to her father and husband she is survived by two children, Jaiden N. Austin and Jordan C.E. Austin, two stepchildren, Janessa L. Griffin, and Jena-Lee A. Griffin, all of New Castle, one brother, Albert V. Grieve, IV and his wife Samantha of New Castle, and two special cousins, C.J. Black and Julia L. Black of New Castle.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 17 ,2024 from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Ebenezer Church of God and Christ, 1119 S. Jefferson Street, New Castle, PA  16101. A funeral service will be celebrated at 3:00 PM at the church. Pastor Llewellyn Williams and Pastor Joseph Gunn will officiate. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
