Angela Marie Benzick

Angela Marie Benzick, 88, of Friendship Street, died Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Quality Life Services in New Castle. She was born on December 1, 1934 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Domenick Motto and Leonarda (Santosuosso) Motto. She was also preceded in death by her husband William J. Benzick. Mrs. Benzick enjoyed playing the organ, going to bingo, and attending church. She loved to sing and when she sang, she always sang loudly. She also loved cooking for her family, and her children will remember her as the best mother ever.

She is survived by two children, William D. Benzick and his wife Luann of Plano, TX, and Karen Kumrow and her husband Carl of Novi, MI, one brother, Judge Domenick Motto and his wife Gerianne of New Castle, four grandchildren, Leah Sanders and her husband Eric, Aaron Benzick and his wife Kimberley, Carla Kumrow, and Krista Stone and her husband Brad, twelve great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Lydia Motto, three sisters, Lucy Cameron, Philomena Motto, and Angelina Motto.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A blessing service will be celebrated Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
