Arlene M. Fontana, 84, of Neshannock Township, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Shenango on the Green in New Wilmington. She was born in New Castle on June 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Panella) Magliery. Mrs. Fontana was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond Fontana, who died on February 14, 2024. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish- St. Camillus Church. Mrs. Fontana worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Francis for 42 years, and then retired after 5 years from Jameson Hospital, she spent many years in the OB and Rehab departments. She enjoyed gathering with her RN friends and classmates for monthly luncheons, going to the beach, and above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Louis J. Fontana and his wife Roberta of Findlay, OH, Raymond J. Fontana and his wife Janice of New Castle, Ann Marie Ong and her husband Paul of Strongsville, OH, and Mary Jo Fontana of Raleigh, NC, one-daughter-in-law, Lori Fontana of Pittsburgh, PA, nine grandchildren, Anthony Fontana and his wife Lauren, Brianne Pompeani and her husband Brock, Allyson Fontana, Jacklyn Hucke and her husband Matthew, Maria Albertino and her husband Kevin, Matthew Ong, Elizabeth Ong, Angelina Fontana, and Christina Ong, two great-grandchildren, Nora Fontana and Patrick Pompeani, and one brother, Frank Magliery and his wife Carol.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas J. Fontana.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 6, 2024, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Holy Spirit Parish- St. Camillus Church Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 9:00 AM. Pastor Barry Gearing, of St. John Neumann Church in Strongsville, OH, will officiate. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 AM. Entombment will be in Parkside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Community Foundation of Western PA & Eastern OH, 7 W. State Street, Sharon, OH 16146.
