Barbara J. Quigley

Barbara J. Quigley, 88, of Summit View Drive, died Monday, February 19, 2024, at Quality Life Services in New Castle. She was born on July 25, 1935, in New Castle, the daughter of the late William ‘Woody’ and Florence (Richie) Leonelli. Mrs. Quigley married William E. Quigley, Sr., in 1952, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Quigley was a member of Holy Spirit Parish- St. Camillus and was a very active member in the church. She enjoyed walking her dogs, Sam, Tippy, and Curtis, sewing, flowering gardening, and being outdoors in the sunshine. She was a great cook and was handy and active around the house.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Francine L. Cucitrone and her husband Carmen, William E. Quigley, Jr., and his wife Molly, and Jean M. Kantner all of New Castle, five grandchildren, Amy Cucitrone, Maria Cucitrone, William R. Quigley and his wife April, Alan Quigley, and Gina Kantner, three great-grandchildren, Joey, Colin, and Lucy.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by, one brother, William Leonelli, and one sister, Alice McCombs.

Per Mrs. Quigley wishes, there are no services scheduled at this time. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
