Betty Lee Baxter

Betty Lee Baxter, 90, of W. Madison Avenue, died Monday, September 2, 2024, at Quality Life Services in New Castle. She was born in Chicago, IL, on October 2, 1933, the daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Beezhold. Betty was married to Robert G. Baxter for 71 years; he survives at home. Mrs. Baxter was a really good artist and loved drawing and sketching, and she used to make all the children laugh.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by three children, Robert J. Baxter and his wife Betty of Tupelo, MS, Beth Marie Abbon of Danolo, MO, and Briana Lynn Little of New Castle, fourteen grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Sue Johnson, one brother, Ralph Beezhold, and one sister, Ramona Sobotka.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
