Carl William Mielke, 77, of Paul Street died Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Haven Convalescent Nursing Home in New Castle. He was born on May 7, 1945 in New Castle a son of the late Carl R. and Anna M. (Tindall) Mielke. Mr. Mielke worked at Lark Enterprises in Assembly. He enjoyed feeding the ducks bread at Scotland Meadows, watching movies, going to the zoo, and loved his sister’s dog, Babe.
He is survived by one brother, Samuel Mielke and wife Carol, one sister, Bertha Ann Marino and husband Arnold, one sister-in-law, Patty Smail, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 4:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
