Carol A. Mccormick

Carol Ann McCormick, 81, of Cunningham Avenue, died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Quality Life Services New Castle. She was born December 3, 1937 in New Castle, the daughter of the late James and Gladys (Shaffer) Barnes. She was married for 50 years to the late William H. McCormick who died June 10, 2006. Mrs. McCormick worked as a home assembler for Adams Manufacturing and also worked for Universal Rundle. She enjoyed flower gardening, shopping, gambling, and raising her great grandchildren.

She is survived by nine children, Debra Allen and husband Charles of Prospect, PA, Cindy Michaels and husband Art of Harmony, PA, Vicky Guidish and husband Andy of Prospect, PA, William McCormick, Jr. of Slippery Rock, PA, Michael McCormick and wife Amy of Slippery Rock, PA, John McCormick of Prospect, PA, Crystal McCormick of Prospect, PA, Tracy Daw and husband George of Portersville, PA, and Sherrie Sheppeck and husband Dave of Butler, PA, one brother, Ronald Barnes of New Castle, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her brother Butch Barnes, and her great granddaughter Alexis Cecelia Allen.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 12 PM to 2 PM.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery.
