Charles H Mccormick

Charles H. McCormick, 86, of Aiken Road, died on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at The Grove in New Wilmington. He was born in New Castle on January 9, 1938, the son of the late Joseph and Genevieve (McClure) McCormick. Mr. McCormick married Sadie M. (Pack) McCormick on June 29, 1963; Mrs. McCormick survives at home. Mr. McCormick worked at J & L Steel in Youngstown, OH as a Mill Rite, retiring after over 30 years. He was a handyman who could fix anything and was very self-sufficient. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on cars.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by one son, Charles P. McCormick of New Castle, four grandchildren, Arista Coleman, Sean McCormick, Taylor McCormick, and Genevieve McCormick, two brothers, Frank McCormick of Slippery Rock and Dale McCormick of New Castle, and three sisters, Beverly McCormick of Orlando, FL, Nancy Zurasky of Merritt Island, FL, and Margaret ‘Peggy’ Patterson of Grove City.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara J. McCormick, and three brothers, Donald McCormick, Clyde McCormick, and Harold McCormick.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
