Daniel Everett Peak, 59, of Montgomery Avenue, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. He was born February 3, 1958 in New Castle, a son of the late Wilbert and Ruth (McClain) Peak. Mr. Peak was a self-employed heavy machine operator retiring after 40 years. He was an Army Ranger serving in Vietnam. Mr. Peak enjoyed restoring old hot rod cars, watching westerns, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
Although Daniel was never married he raised his three step-children as his own, he is survived by three step-children, Lacy McAnallen, Bobby Gudyk, and Brian Gudyk, all of New Castle, one brother, Wilbert 'Woody' Peak of San Antonio, TX, two sisters, Catherine Peak and Linda Peak Major, both of New Castle, and five step-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother Ralph Peak, his sister Laurie Peak, his sister Joann Black, and his sister Donna Cunningham.
Friends will be received Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 4:30 PM to 5 PM at the Neshannock Community Church, 2929 Mercer Road, New Castle. A funera service will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. at Neshannock Community Church. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
