Daniel G. Wimer

Daniel G. Wimer, 66, of Old Route 422, New Castle, died Thursday, November 16, 2023 at his residence in New Castle. He was born in New Castle on February 15, 1956 a son of the late Gaylord Wimer, Sr. and Margaret (McDevitt) Wimer, his mother survives in New Castle. Mr. Wimer was a truck driver, and then owner and operator of Dan’s Golf Cart Repairs for 20 years. He then worked for Golf Cart Supply for a number of years. Dan enjoyed customizing golf carts and building things out of nothing, he was very creative. He also loved spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by three children, Melissa L. Wimer of New Castle, Michelle L. Wimer of New Castle, and Kelly A. Lidey and her husband Chris of New Brighton, one sister, Karen Wimer Hunt of New Castle, three grandchildren, Destiny Maitland, Maddison Bales, and Daniel Frelin.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Haylee Sorbo and Remington McConahy.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
