David Jay Wagner, Jr.

David 'Jay' Wagner, Jr., 47, of New Castle, peacefully passed away the morning of Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from a lifelong battle with Diabetes. Jay was born on December 23, 1977, in New Castle, the son of the late David J. Wagner, Sr., and Thelma L. (Carlson) Wagner, his mother survives in Struthers, OH. Jay worked as a self-employed contractor working on gas lines for many years. He was the 'jack of all trades', always working on a new project. Jay's passion was Dirt Track Racing, it ran in his blood. He also enjoyed hunting with his dogs, Smoke and Bo, and camping. Above all, Jay was most proud of his daughters and everything that they have done. They were his greatest accomplishment. 

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his former wife, Kelly J. (Reed) Wagner, whom he married on March 16, 2002, two daughters, Zayna Ray Wagner and Danika Jayd Wagner both of New Castle, one brother, Dennis and Andrea Wagner and their son, Leyton of Enon Valley, one sister, Amber and Kenny Hink and their children, Brendon, Adrionna, and Bailey of Poland, OH, and his grandmother, Marjorie Carlson of Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Calvary Independent Church, 424 E. Moody Avenue, New Castle PA 16105. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jay's daughters, Zayna and Danika.
