Diana Ruth Schmidt-Sfreddo, 65, of Pearlwood Street, New Castle, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. She was born October 12, 1951 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Beck) Schmidt. She was married to the late Anthony G. Sfreddo who died October 1, 2005. Mrs. Sfreddo was an administrative assistant at Highland House retiring after 7 years. She also worked at Shenango Pottery and YDC for a number of years. She enjoyed taking walks and her dogs and other pets and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Anthony J. Sfreddo and wife Tiffany, and Diana K. Sfreddo and fiancé Kevin Nice, all of New Castle, two sisters, Martha Shuler of Clearwater, FL, and Barb Pascarella of Ashtabula, OH, and two grandchildren, Alyse Sfreddo and Steven Sfreddo.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10 AM to 12 Noon.
Blessing services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Mr. Matthew Hawkins, Seminarian of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. On-line condolences can be sent to: www.williamrogerdecarbo.com.
