Doris Kay Mills

Doris K. (Conrad) Mills, 76, of Patterson Twp., Beaver County, PA formerly of New Castle, PA, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023, at her home, while under hospice care, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 17, 1946, in New Castle, the daughter of the late Howard and Esther (McConnell) Conrad.

Doris was a graduate of Shenango High School, New Castle, the New Castle Beauty School, and Medical Career School in Alexandria, VA. She worked at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh as a pulmonary technician, and caregiver to a private nursing home resident. Later she worked at Trader Horn in New Castle, and Sheetz in New Castle and Cranberry Twp. Doris also lived and worked several years in Las Vegas and enjoyed visiting and traveling in that part of the country.

Doris was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, Portersville. She enjoyed being with and watching her beautiful grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her son, Richard (Michele) Richardson, grandchildren Ella and Cooper Richardson, her sisters Joyce (David) McConahy of Saxonburg, PA, and Louise (the late Ronald ‘Tom’) Parshall of New Castle, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by a sister Carol Conrad, a brother Raymond Conrad, and her husband Thomas Mills.

Funeral arrangements for Doris Kay Mills will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
