Earl J. Gravatt, Sr.

Earl J. Gravatt, Sr., 54, of Highland Avenue, died Monday, April 7, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, PA. He was born in New Castle on September 15, 1970, the son of the late Charles V. Gravatt and June A. (Swogger) Gravatt, his mother lives in New Castle. He was married to late Donna Ann (Shook) Gravatt, who died on October 22, 2023. Earl was a welder for KASGRO Rail Corp. and was also a maintenance worker for Crest View Gardens for a number of years. He was a member of the Eagles’ Club in New Castle, and enjoyed fishing, cooking, working on cars, and watching Westerns, especially John Wayne. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by one son, Earl J. Gravatt, Jr., of New Castle, three brothers, Paul Gravatt, Sr., Charles ‘Jeff’ Gravatt and his wife Dorreen, and Michael Gravatt, three sisters, Wendy Harshbarger, Becky Hobrat and her husband Rob, and Kim Emery and her husband Chris, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, that Earl loved dearly.

In addition to his father and wife, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Gravatt, and one sister, Victoria Miles.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
