Elizabeth 'Betty' I. Miller

Elizabeth ‘Betty’ I. Miller, 91, of 12th street, in West Pittsburg, died Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Avalon Nursing Center in West Pittsburg. She was born in New Castle on September 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Anthony and Catherine (Cappatt) Nerti. Mrs. Miller was married to the late John J. Miller, who died on February 25, 1979. Betty was a supervisor for Airway Industries, retiring after 40 years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish- St. Vincent de Paul, and was an active member, including cooking for fish fries, and making pierogies and nut rolls. She also enjoyed listening to music and doing puzzles, especially seek & finds.

She is survived by one son, John A. Miller and his wife Becky of New Castle, two granddaughters, Kiley Miller and Heidi Rafoth and her husband Henry, and two great-grandsons, Henry Rafoth, Jr., and Camden Rafoth.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by five brothers, John Nerti, Patsy Nerti, Joseph Nerti, Phillip Nerti, and Victor Nerti, and six sisters, Mary Nerti, Rose Nerti, Josephine Winter, Theresa Mozzocio, Jennie Stelter, and Shirley Bessell.

Private services will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
