Esther M. Wheale

Esther M. Wheale, 90, formerly of New Castle, died Saturday, April 6, 2024, in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in New Castle on July 19, 1933, the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Stafford) Ferry. Mrs. Wheale was married to Wesley E. Wheale for 71 years, he survives in Jacksonville, FL. She worked for Fisher Brothers and then Fisher Big Wheel, retiring after a number of years. She loved talking, especially to her family, she will be remembered as the glue that kept the family together. She also enjoyed making family photo albums.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, John Ferry, Charles Ferry, Jr., Robert Ferry, and Mikey Ferry.
A private graveside service will be held. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
