Florence M. Vanasco

Florence Mary Vanasco, 89, of Crestwood Drive, died Sunday, April 6, 2025, at her residence in New Castle. She was born in New Castle, March 6, 1936, the daughter of the late Howard and Lena Oliphant. She was married to the late Bartholomew P. Vanasco who died on September 23, 2016. Mrs. Vanasco was a homemaker and enjoyed dancing, cooking, reading, shopping, and watching her soap operas. She loved spending time with her grandkids the most.

She is survived by two sons, Ernie R. Wheale of New Castle and Wesley A. Wheal of New Castle, four grandchildren, Erika Klingensmith, Desiree Wheale, Keith H. Wheale, Jr., and Michael Roberts, and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also proceeded in death by one son, Keith H. Wheal, Sr., and one grandson, Ronald Hudach.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 11, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be held Friday, April 11,2025 at 4:00 PM.
