Gary E. Blakely, Sr.

Gary E. Blakely, Sr., 79, of Reed Avenue in Conneaut Lake, PA, died Sunday, December 24, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born in New Castle, on February 21, 1944, the son of the late Charles and Flossie (Rhodes) Blakely. Mr. Blakely was the owner and operator of G & J’s Radiator and Tire in Greenville, PA for 48 years. He was an officer of the Eagles Club Arie 805 in Greenville, PA. He enjoyed playing slot machines and skilled games, loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, dirt track stock car racing, and being around his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by five children, Gary E. Blakely, Jr., of Conneaut Lake, PA, Gwen A. Blakely, Kristen E. Blakely, Matthew D. Blakely, and his companion Kathy Jones all of New Castle, and Christopher C. Blakely of Kinsman, OH, and twelve grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Chuckie Blakely, one daughter-in-law, Theresa Blakely, and one grandson.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Joe Lahr, of Cornerstone Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville, PA.
