Genevieve P. Copper

Genevieve P. Copper, 100, of Copper Road, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born June 29, 1918 in Scranton, PA, a daughter of the late Leon and Theresa (Pierog) Kresowaty. She was married to the late Charles Copper. Mrs. Copper worked in the laundry at Golden Hill Nursing Home retiring after 20 years. She enjoyed reading, going to fairs and visiting with family on holidays.
She is survived by two children, Kathleen Copper of New Castle, and Paul Copper of New Castle, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Copper, one daughter, Shirley Allison, two brothers, Frank Kresowaty and Philip Kresowaty, and two sisters, Francis Stoner and Josephine O'Woc.
Private funeral services will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
