Howard L. Dean

Howard Leslie Dean, 76, of Frew Mill Road died Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Avalon Nursing Center. He was born in New Castle on March 18, 1946 a son of the late Leslie and Catherine (Arthrell) Dean. Mr. Dean married Patricia J. (Hooks) Dean on April 3, 1971, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Dean was a United States Navy Veteran. He worked as a CDL Driver for P.A.M Co in Niles, OH retiring after 25 years. He also worked at Walmart as a stock person and worked for W.R Grace & CO. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and playing video games.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Darrell Dean of New Castle, three sisters, Louise Domenick, Margie McCleery, and Mary Bougher, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki Dean, one brother, Larry Dean, and one sister, Bessie Dean.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 12 PM to 1 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate.
