James A. Ladesic, 82, of Fairmont Avenue, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Quality Life Services in New Castle. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on January 7, 1943, the son of the late Joseph and Henretta (Newman) Ladesic. Mr. Ladesic was married to the late Lynn K. (Armbruster) Ladesic, who died on August 9, 2014. Mr. Ladesic worked for Mesta as a machinist at the Ellwood City Forge, retiring after 10 years. He enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, boating, traveling, and going on cruises and cross-country camping trips.

He is survived by five children, Laurel Sommers and her husband Hughey of Harlansburg, PA, Kathryn Jones and Matthew Blakley of New Castle, Michael Ladesic and  Sharon Dawson of Boardman, OH, Karen Baxter and Michael Scurlock of New Castle, and James A. Ladesic, Jr., and his wife Tiffany of New Middletown, OH, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Ladesic and Raymond Ladesic, and one sister, Alma Antenito.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
