Jay Lee Mcneil

Jay Lee McNeil, 89, of Old Butler Road, Shenango Township, died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at his home in Shenango. He was born September 19, 1929 in New Castle, the son of the late Harold and Anne (Jones) McNeil. He was married to the late Edna Mae (Hedland) McNeil who died March 15, 2018. Mr. McNeil was a truck driver for 22 years, he retired from Robinson Trucking. He was an Army veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam serving 22 years in the Army. Mr. McNeil was a member of VFW Post #315 and was an avid NASCAR and Steelers fan. He also loved spending time with his dog Shorty and his family.

He is survived by four children, Michael McNeil and wife Lana of Abilene, TX, Terry Dunevant and her husband Tony of Greenville, OH, Kelly McNeil-Korba and husband Scott of New Castle, and Linda Owens and husband James of New Castle, five step children, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his son Patrick McNeil, his daughter Tracy Hutchens, and his sister Bette O'Dell.

Funeral services were held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens. On-line condolences can be sent to: www.williamrogerdecarbo.com .
