John Michael Jamrozik, 57, of W. McKinley Way in Poland, OH, died Monday, September 4, 2023 at VA Hospital- Cleveland. He was born in New Castle on March 2, 1966, the son of the late John W. and Tresa (Vericella) Jamrozik. He worked at JC Penney’s in the Ross Park Mall as a sales associate in men’s suits, retiring after 20 years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish- St. Vitus and Church of Assumption in Pittsburgh. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Mr. Jamrozik was a music lover. He attended hundreds of concerts and had a record/CD collection that would rival a DJ. He was a fan of wrestling, cats, roast beef sandwiches, and a good cup of coffee. Mr. Jamrozik was generous and was known for bringing half-loaves of bread to his aunts when he visited his mother. He is survived by one daughter, Katie C. Beighley and her husband Dan of New Castle, one grandson, Owen D. Beighley, one sister, Jacqueline Schweikert and her husband Patrick of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, three nieces, Samantha, Izzy, and Andrea, one nephew, Jonathon, and his former spouse, Teri (Pratley) Jamrozik. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 5PM to 8PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. New Castle Honor Guard will perform Military Rites Monday, September 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Parish- St. Vitus. Father Joseph McCaffrey will officiate. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
