Joseph J. Cook, Jr.

Joseph James Cook, Jr., 75, of East Sheridan Avenue, died Saturday, April 5, 2025 at his

residence in New Castle. He was born October 26, 1949 in New Castle, a son of the late

Joseph J. Cook, Sr. and Dolores (Palladino) Cook. He married Angela M. (Medure) Cook on

August 25 ,1973, she survives in New Castle. Joe recently retired from 50 years in the

construction industry where he ended as a Senior Vice President. He was a member of the

Army National Guard. Joe enjoyed golfing, was an avid New York Yankees fan, and was an

animal advocate taking in many strays. He loved his cats, Clemy, Georgie, and Ditto. Above all

he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and was very proud of all of them.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two children, Kali M. Cook of Los Angeles, CA, and

Christopher J. Cook and his wife Crystal of New Castle, two grandchildren, Carmen and

Saventino Cook, two brothers, David and Randy Cook and two sisters, Debbie Cross and Cindy

Palko.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the William F. and Roger

M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be

held Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Deacon John Carran will

celebrate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
