Joseph Carl Henry, Sr.

Joseph Carl Henry, Sr., 74, of S. Cascade Street died Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Briarfield Place in Boardman, OH. He was born in New Castle on July 14, 1948 a son of the late Joseph P. and Thelma (Marino) Henry. Mr. Henry was a member of the United States Army Reserves. He was a steamfitter for Local 47 and 449 retiring after 40 years. He enjoyed metal detecting, prospecting for gold, and fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be remembered by his family as a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by two children, Joseph C. Henry, Jr., and his wife Tommi Lynn of New Wilmington, and Jessica M. Gocmen and her husband Volkan of New Castle, four grandchildren, Ellianna Henry, J.T. Henry, Dalyan Gocmen, and Rowann Gocmen, and one brother, Kevin J. Henry of Campbell, OH.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 4PM to 6PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 6:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Steven Richman will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
