Josephine A. Lombardo

Josephine Ann Lombardo, 97, of East Hazelcroft Avenue, died Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her home in New Castle. She was born January 14, 1921 in Castelbuono, Italy, a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Concetta (Gambri) Tuminello. She was married to the late Anthony F. Lombardo who died September 22, 2005. Mrs. Lombardo worked in housekeeping at Jameson Memorial Hospital retiring after 30 years. She was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed bingo, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Anthony C. Lombardo of Monroe, OH, and James D. Lombardo and wife Nichole of Bessemer, two sisters, Margaret Mills and Anna Mae Piscuneri, both of New Castle, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, John, and Anthony Tuminello, and one sister, Minnie DeMonaco.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 12:00 PM at St. Camillus Church. Father Joseph McCaffrey will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
