Laura L. Colich

Laura L. Colich, 74, of Moore Avenue, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Northview Estates in Ellwood City. She was born in Oakmont, PA, on August 7, 1950, the daughter of the late Donald T. and Elizabeth L. (Burke) Johnson. She married George Colich on April 24, 1976, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Colich was the former owner and operator of a home daycare for a number of years. She enjoyed playing cards, Jig-Saw puzzles, and above all, loved spending time at her cabin on the lake with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by four children, Robert J. Colich and his wife Michelle of New Castle, Joshua J. Colich and his wife Lisa of Monongahela, PA, Carrie E. Steele and her husband Mike of Greenville, PA, and Jami E. Colich and her fiancé Jay Hnat of New Castle, three step-children, David Colich and his wife Dawn of Farrell, PA, Kelly Crawford and her husband Tim of Sharpsville, PA, and George Colich of Sharon, PA, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Amy J. Stapleton and her boyfriend John Wilkison of Edinburg, PA and Barbara Wagoner of Ellwood City, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew Colich, and two brothers, Donald T. Johnson and Robert J. ‘Jimmy’ Johnson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Madonna Cemetery.
