Liberta Ruozzo

Liberta Ruozzo, 80, of Delaware Avenue, died Monday, April 29, 2024, at Hermitage Nursing Home and Rehab in Hermitage, PA. She was born in New Castle on May 19, 1943, the daughter of the late Dominic and Elvira (DiThomas) Ruozzo. Miss Ruozzo worked for Shenango High School as a teacher and guidance counselor, retiring after 30 years. She also worked at Laural High School for five years as the curriculum coordinator. Miss Ruozzo loved music and dancing, traveling, and was an avid sports fan, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame. She was the cheerleading advisor for Shenango High School for a number of years, she loved all her students and always went above and beyond for them. She also started the Shenango High School Distinguished Alumni Award.
She is survived by one brother, Thomas D. Ruozzo of New Castle, and a number of cousins.
Private visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
