Linda J. Brua, 77, of W. North Street, died Friday, February 14, 2025, Quality Life Services in New Castle. She was born on April 16, 1947, in New Castle, the daughter of the late Fred and Rose (Rainey) Peterson. She was married to the late Thomas E. Brua, who died on August 30, 2017. Mrs. Brua worked as a manager at Elephant and Castle Pub and Restaurant Inn for 10 years. She was also the former owner of Dumplin’ Haus in Volant. She enjoyed baking and cooking, and above all she loved her grandchildren, they were her joy.
She is survived by one son, Douglas Tennant of Venice, FL, six grandchildren, Brody Tennant, Benjamin Trodden, Josey Tennant, Jaden Tennant, Laura Tennant, and Marshall Tennant, and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Charles ‘Rick’ Tennant, one grandson, Dakota Locke, and two brothers, Fred Peterson and Albert Peterson.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
