Mary E. Haught

Mary E. Haught, 83, of Huron Avenue died Monday, November 13, 2023, at Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle. She was born on April 15, 1940, in Mannington, WV, the daughter of the late Ruth (Simpson) King. Mrs. Haught was married to the late Charles E. Haught, who died on February 10, 2005. Mrs. Haught worked at Haven Convalescent Home as a nurses’ aide, retiring after 40 years. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her dogs, and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguin Fan.
She is survived by one son, Joseph L. Haught of New Castle, three grandchildren, Gerry Moore, Brian Moore, and Carly Moore, three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Patty Yost.
In addition to her mother and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debra A. Moore, one brother, Wilbert Simpson, and two sisters, Betty Dunca and Jackie Hendershot.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
