Nancy L. Voras

Nancy Lee Voras, 76, of Graceland Road, New Castle, died Friday, March 1, 2019 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born November 16, 1942 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Francesco and Philamena (Martrella) DiVitto. She was married to the late Steve Voras, Sr. who died January 26, 2010. Nancy worked for the New Castle Area School District as a crossing guard for John F. Kennedy Elementary School and a cook at Ben Franklin Junior High School for 32 years before retiring. She also drove the ACTS bus for 6 years. Nancy enjoyed cooking, baking, doing word searches, collecting owls and was a diehard Pittsburgh sports fan.

She is survived by one daughter, Deanna L. Ullrich of New Castle, one grandson, Ryan DeSalvo and his wife Isabella of New Castle, one brother, Angelo DeVitto of London, England, one sister, Clara Gingras of West Pittsburg, and three great grandchildren, Gianna DeSalvo, Aubrey Hamett, and Ryan DeSalvo, Jr.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ovidio ‘Sonny’ and Frankie DeVitto, and one sister, Rose Sanchez.

Private services will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
