Norene Ann Gallo

Norene A. Gallo, 76, of Randolph Street, died Friday, September 6, 2024, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. She was born in New Castle on September 30, 1947, the daughter of the late John Stalnecker and Mary Jane (Tanner) McKissick. She was also preceded in death by her husband David A. Gallo, Sr., who died June 4, 1986. Mrs. Gallo was a self-employed beautician, working at various salons, retiring after 40 years. She was a member of the Family Worship Center and enjoyed playing Candy Crush at full volume and Words with Friends. She also enjoyed dancing, music, making crafts, and bowling with her family. Mrs. Gallo loved her cat, Emmie.

She is survived by three children, Jodie L. Fye of New Castle, David A. Gallo, Jr., and his fiancé Alison Boyce of Indiana, PA, and Christopher J. Gallo and his fiancé Adriene Cunliffe of New Castle, one step-son, Sam Moore and his wife Michelle, five grandchildren, one brother, Jerry Stalnecker and his fiancé Darleen Osborn, three sisters, Georgann Gall and her husband Jack, Becky Stalnecker, and Marti Lynn Robinson, and one sister-in-law, Ann Stalnecker.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, John Stalnecker, one sister, Linda Orzechowski, and one brother-in-law, Lenny Robinson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 5 PM to 7 PM, at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. The funeral service will be celebrated Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 7:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Kris Kaufman will officiate. The family would like to thank the Haven Convalescent Nursing Home and staff for the wonderful care they provided for their mother.
