Patty Ann McCall, 79, of Smithfield Street, passed away the morning of Thursday, May 4, 2023 after an extended illness at her residence in New Castle. She was born on July 19, 1943 in Oil City, PA, a daughter of the late Rev. Lemuel and Clara (Fox) Rodgers. She married John M. McCall, III on June 22, 2007, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. McCall was a housekeeper at Jameson Hospital, and was also a cook at Pappan’s Restaurant, retiring after over 20 years. She was a member of Washington Union Alliance Church, she was very religious, and had a strong faith. Mrs. McCall enjoyed crocheting, word seek, and crossword puzzles. She was a great cook. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two children, Pamela S. Hogue of New Castle, and Randall L. Hogue of Ellwood City, two granddaughters, eight great-grandchildren, seven great great-grandchildren, and one brother, Thomas E. Rodger of Springfield, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one grandson, and one brother, Stanley D. Rodgers.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 7:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Landon Stuart will officiate. Burial will be in Heckathorn Cemetery in Seneca, PA. The family would like to thank 3 Rivers Hospice Care for the wonderful care they provided Patty. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Washington Union Alliance Church, 2119 W. Washington Street, for missionaries.
