Robert G. Baxter

Robert G. Baxter, 90, of W. Madison Avenue, died Monday, October 21, 2024, at his residence in New Castle. He was born on February 20, 1934, in Ft. Worth, TX, the son of the late Robert and Virginia (Chestnut) Baxter. Mr. Baxter was married to the late Betty Lee (Beezhold) Baxter, who died September 2, 2024. He worked for Swifs Company in Indiana working on the assembly line for 20 years. He was an avid football fan and an “armchair quarterback”. Above all, he was a good and loving father.
He is survived by three children, Robert J. Baxter and his wife Betty of Tupelo, MS, Beth Marie Abbondandolo of Crystal City, MO, and Briana Lynn Little of New Castle, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandson, and one sister, Betty Ann Baxter Holzgaphan of Chicago, IL.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
